Safety and security are our first and foremost priorities. We maintain high-security standards via strict check-in and out procedures, child safety ratios, with training and background checks for all team members. We want to ensure children are safe and well looked after while under our care. Next Gen Ministry strives to earn and maintain the trust of our parents so that the entire family can confidently participate in the exciting life of Awaken Kidz and can build their lives in God’s House!
Fun
We strive to infuse fun into everything we do. We know that if a child has fun at every juncture of church in their formative years, they will forever associate joy with the House of the Lord! We aim to create a children’s ministry that is “larger than life” in the sight of our kids so that the House of God will forever reign dear in their hearts.
God
Next Gen Ministry connects children personally to Jesus Christ through powerful weekend services with Godly discipleship, energetic praise and worship, and engaging programs. We value every moment we are given to speak into the lives of our kids, and we place no limits on what God will do in them and through them. Next Gen Ministry is the gatekeeper of the emerging generation, and it’s a privilege to connect children to the heart of God and train them in the way they should go so that when they are older, they will not depart from it!
What to expect your first time at Next Gen Ministry
We know the first time attending a church with your children could seem overwhelming, but we make it easy and lovingly welcome your entire family. Once you arrive, our Hi team can direct you to our Next Gen Ministry check-in stations. Here, you will fill out a very quick form, and our team will securely check in your child, show you their room, and ensure a smooth pass-off so the whole family can enjoy their service!

We are Destiny Shapers, passionate about teaching, training, and loving the next generation of leaders.
We are committed to the families and children who walk through the doors of our church. We offer more than just ministry—we offer a haven where every child feels loved, cared for, and protected.
At Victory Outreach Kidz G.A.N.G. San Diego, we believe in shaping destinies one child at a time with the love and hope of Jesus Christ.
What we offer: We offer services for children from preschool to tenth grade to teach and equip the next generation to learn, love, and live out God’s calling in their lives.
Preschool Class (Ages 4+):
This class serves children ages 4 and up, introducing them to the foundations of the Gospel in a way that is both fun and meaningful.
Through a blend of interactive play and age-appropriate scripture lessons, we create an engaging environment where children can begin to discover who Jesus is.
Our goal is for every child who walks into this classroom to feel welcomed, loved, and excited to learn about God.
5 & 6 Year Old Class:
Kinder & 1st Grade Class (Ages 5–6)
This class serves our Kindergarten and 1st-grade children, helping them grow in their understanding of God’s Word through fun and interactive activities, games, and Bible stories designed just for them.
We also begin to introduce Scripture memorization with age-appropriate challenges that encourage children to hide God’s Word in their hearts in a way they can understand and enjoy. Every lesson is designed to help them build a strong foundation of faith, fun, and friendship.
7 & 8-Year-Old Class:
This class serves our 2nd and 3rd-grade students, providing a more structured approach to teaching the Word of God. Children are encouraged to read the Bible for themselves and begin learning how to apply God’s Word to their daily lives in practical and meaningful ways. Our goal is to help them grow in understanding, faith, and confidence as young followers of Christ.
9 & 10-Year-Old Class:
This class serves our 4th and 5th-grade students, focusing on teaching, equipping, and encouraging them to discover and use their God-given gifts for His honor and glory. We also help prepare them for a smooth transition into New Gen, our Junior High ministry, by building a strong spiritual foundation and growing their confidence in who they are in Christ. Our goal is to raise faithful, capable, and courageous young leaders ready to take the next step in their journey with Jesus.
Adventure Room:
Our Adventure Room is specially designed to serve children with special needs who may benefit from one-on-one attention and support.
We believe that every child is called, loved, and valued by God, and we are committed to helping each one grow in their faith in a safe, nurturing, and tailored way that meets their unique needs. The Adventure Room welcomes children of all ages with special needs. It is dedicated to creating a loving and inclusive environment where every child can thrive and experience the love of Jesus.
Royal Ranger:
This ministry serves boys ages 9 to 14, focusing on building strong character, developing a heart of servanthood, and cultivating leadership skills that will prepare them to step boldly into the call of God in their lives.
Our goal is to raise young men of integrity, purpose, and faith, equipped to make a difference in their homes, churches, and communities.
Victory Outreach Kidz G.A.N.G. San Diego Mission Statement
Victory Outreach Kidz G.A.N.G. San Diego is called to the task of discipling and training families and their children to fulfill their God-given destiny and purpose in Jesus Christ.
This calling involves a deep commitment to Envision, Equip, and Empower the descendants of Victory Outreach to step confidently into the calling God has placed on their lives—raising future leaders, pastors, pastor’s wives, G.A.N.G. Girls, and G.A.N.G. Warriors.
As Destiny Shapers, we are shaping lives one child at a time, empowering them to make a lasting impact by sharing the love and hope of Jesus Christ in the inner cities of the world.
Victory Outreach Kidz G.A.N.G. San Diego is commissioned to carry on the legacy that has been set before us, with unwavering conviction and passion.
We fulfill this mission by raising finances through Run 4 Hope and the U.W.C. Kidz Club, helping support the worldwide vision of reaching children for Christ.
